Instagram is Broken

A note from the founders…

This is something that we’ve wanted to share for a while.

Instagram is broken.

We completely echo the feelings of Darling Clementine and so many other small business owners who feel like they’ve been separated from their followers.

Small brands work so hard to build loyal communities of supporters but the algorithm gods at Instagram and Facebook have stopped the majority of followers from seeing what we share.

Amazing videos remain unwatched, beautiful products and photoshoots are going unseen & exciting updates are disappearing unread.

Without big competitive advertising budgets, these loyal followers are not seeing posts from the brands they love. Instead they are bombarded with ads from brands they’ve never even heard of.

Having already navigated the tidal waves of the pandemic, small businesses have been put on mute.

It’s a killer problem and every brand is feeling it.

One very quick thing that you can do to help is to go on the Instagram profiles of your favourite brands (including ours!), click the ‘Following’ button and then click ‘Add to Favourites’.

Meanwhile we are going to be exploring new ways to reach our supporters outside of social media (pop up stores, outdoor experiences, mobile apps & Web3 technologies!).

Let’s hope things change!

Love, Will and Ed
