The Roarsome Summit 2025

Friday 16th - Sunday 18th May 2025.

WHAT IS THE SUMMIT?

The Roarsome Summit will once again take place in Polzeath, Cornwall from Friday 16th - Sunday 18th May 2025.

The event is a 3 day adventure weekend, reminding us all how great the great outdoors really is.

It was inspired by the summers that we used to remember as kids. Summers without smartphones or social media, just simple pleasures of making core memories with friends & families.

We camp, we laugh, we surf, we rock pool, we face paint, we hair braid, we make wonderful beach art in the sand, we hunt for treasure, we walk, we talk, we sport and we all clean the beach at the end.

3 day adventure

friday

The Roarsome Summit 2024 kicks off on Friday and our wonderful guests arrive throughout the day to pitch their tents or check in to their Luxury Yurts, pre-erected by the brilliant Browning Bros. Some head off on dolphin spotting boat trips while others enjoy saunas by the sea or family treasure hunts. In the evening, we all tuck into wood fired pizza from Wild Bake, cocktails from Porthilly Spirits and lawn games including Giant Jenga, Giant Connect 4, Draughts & Boules, as we watch the sun set over the campsite.

Saturday

After campsite coffee, pastries and bacon baps, parents can drop the kids off at Kids Club with Wild Warriors (including rock pooling, cave exploring and fire making) before enjoying the option of yoga or group surf lessons with Wavehunters. We then join local legend Bill Bartlett for a therapeutic Big Beach Art Class, using rakes to create giant geometric shapes in the sand. In the afternoon we all take part in the infamous Roarsome Olympics to work up our appetites before a big Family Feast in the evening.

Sunday

To cap off an epic weekend, we all head down to Daymer Bay for a big educational Beach Clean, hosted by the wonderful team at Waterhaul. We use litter pickers made from discarded fishing nets and rally together as one big family, learning the importance of looking after mother nature. At lunch time we pack up camp, say our goodbyes to friends old and new, before heading home, hopefully having inspired the future saviours of our planet.

Is there an electric hook up?

Our pitches have 16Amp electricity, giving up to 2kw for all your appliances at any one time.

Please note: domestic kettles, fridges and heaters may be more than this on their own. Exceeding this may trip the power.

Where are the toilets and showers?

One of the best things about this campsite is the toilets and hot showers which are situated right in the middle of the campsite. Management always keep these sparkling clean and we’ve been impressed every time we’ve visited. There’s also toilets in Beach Farm Cafe too.

Where do I park my car?

There is parking for one vehicle per pitch, with no exceptions. Usually the space will be adjacent to your pitch but if we are unfortunate with severe wet weather, cars will be moved to the site car park less than 100m away.

Can I bring my camper van?

Yes, however no HGV’s are allowed as it is an all grass campsite.

Is the campsite dog friendly?

Dogs must be well behaved and always kept on a lead. This is especially important as we have fields surrounding a working farm with livestock in. They must not be left on site unattended at any time. Any fouling must be cleared up immediately.

Can we have fire pits?

Barbecues only! Camp fires/Fire Pits & Drone Flying are not permitted on site.

Can I bring bikes for the kids?

Bikes are permitted to be used on site and there’s a brilliant bike route called the The Camel Trail nearby. Children must be made aware of safety, e.g., cars being driven on and off site.
