Just after Dinoski launched we realised that it was possible to make our adventure clothing out of recycled plastic bottles. Although it would be slightly more expensive for us, this was a relatively easy change to make by swapping one fabric supplier for another.
Not only would our products help kids to celebrate the great outdoors, we would also be protecting the planet while making them.
Using FENC® TopGreen® Recycled PET Filament, it takes us 30x 1L bottles to create one of our snow suits and 18x 1L bottles to make a coat. Aside from towels, our entire upcoming summer range is made from recycled bottles too (swim shorts, swim suits, rash vests and sun hats).
In fact, 90% of our collection is now made from recycled plastic bottles. Our fabric dye and packaging is eco friendly, and we have even developed our own biodegradable postage bags too!
Since launch, we’ve recycled over 500,000 plastic bottles into roarsome clothing!
At 20 grams per 1L bottle, this equates to over 10 tonnes of plastic!
Easily one of our proudest achievements to date, this has only been possible thanks to the support from our customers. The more products that we deliver, the more plastic that we can recycle.
