Yet every year, millions of tonnes of waste is discarded or lost in the ocean, causing disastrous consequences on marine ecosystems. Watch our video to learn more

By collecting this waste from local beaches, we can transform it into resource: creating sustainable products and solutions.
So to mark World Ocean Day, we teamed up with the heroes at Waterhaul, and took a group of mini adventurers on an educational, Bank Holiday Beach Clean.

Armed with Scrunch’s eco-friendly buckets and spades, we recovered lots of plastic and discarded fishing nets from the sand, rocks and surrounding dunes. We then sat the kids down and demonstrated how this litter can be transformed into recycled products like Waterhaul litter pickers and our new Dinosea swimwear!
To capture the adventure we brought along two of our favourite explorers - Megan Hemsworth took the photos and Content Crib’s Darius shot the film. Despite an incident with an extra big wave and an extra wet camera, the footage was saved and we all had a whaale of a time!
